Well, this isn’t exactly new. I shot it a few months ago, but I didn’t get a chance to edit the new one I was planning on posting today, so…here you are.
The other two people in the movie are Dana Chehansky & Michael Chmiel, two very talented kids, who are also my former sketch partners. It helps if you’re a fan of The New Yorker, but it’s certainly not necessary. Oh, and this really exists.

I don’t read the New Yorker, and I was totally lost. Does this mean I’m stupid? How can I subscribe to the New Yorker? Do they have a background check to make sure that I am an elitist intellectual? Can New Yorker readers mingle with non-New Yorker readers, or is their self-made, delusional pedestal simply too high?
I shouldn’t talk. It’s a bit hypocritical I guess, for when I see someone reading the New Yorker I assume they are an asshole.

That would have been an excellent point, save for a couple things. If you’re going to mock elitist intellectuals it will greatly help your case if you avoid two things:
1. Using the phrase, “for when I see…,” which is probably better left to 18th Century love poems.
2. Having a Yale degree.
Other than that, you got me.
P.S. Are the cartoons in The Hobokener funnier? Am I allowed to read that? Or do I have to pass some sort of test on which Bruce Springsteen cover band is the best?

The Hobokenite, not the Hobokener, is more interested in your knowledge of Frank Sinatra. You know, being his hometown and all.
And, sorry, Jack, I forgot you were so much better than me. You know, because you overpay for an apartment that is surrounded by livestock, garbage, crazy Asian women and a fish stench that would overpower the NJ turnpike, and because you pay $5 for a Bud bottle on special, and you are in such close proximity to so many quirky, zany transplants who just want to prove they can make it in the big city. NYC is such an adventure. I’m so inferior. Please show me the way.
I think the cartoons in the Chinatowner are best.
And everyone knows the B Street Band is the best Bruce cover band.

I had no idea I would strike such a nerve. I apologize. And for your information, I live in Chinatown not for the “livestock” or “crazy Asian women,” but for the crazy livestock. Have you ever drank tequila with a donkey? It’s pretty awesome. They can really party.

Good Lord. James, first of all, that is patently false. I’m pretty sure Paul has left at least 85 of the comments, but he uses so many fake names he’s impossible to track. Also, my sister cannot read. Thanks, jerk.
Secondly, that “ZAGINGO” would have been much more damning if you hadn’t called me immediately afterwards to apologize for it.
P.S. How do find time for this? Don’t you have a job?
